By using SendLingo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, profile picture, and authentication credentials through secure third-party providers.

2.2 Messages and Content

We store messages, media files, and other content you share through our platform to enable our messaging features. Translation data is processed to provide real-time translation services.

This does not apply to Live Conversation call content. Live Conversation microphone audio, live transcripts or captions, translated conversation text and generated translated speech are processed transiently and are not retained by SendLingo after the Live Conversation session has ended. See the Live Conversation and Voice Processing section for details.

2.3 Usage Information

We collect information about how you use SendLingo, including device information, IP address, browser type, and usage patterns to improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered features such as smart replies and phrase refinement

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use third-party service providers that process data on our behalf to deliver certain features, as described below.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate SendLingo and deliver certain features. Depending on the services you use, these providers may process information on our behalf for functions such as translation, artificial-intelligence-enabled features, speech recognition, real-time speech translation, text-to-speech, hosting and infrastructure, communications, analytics, security and payment processing.

We only share or process information through these services where it is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain or support the relevant SendLingo feature.

Different categories of service provider may receive different types of information. For example, speech-processing services may process microphone audio and related language information when you use Live Conversation, while translation services may process text where translation is required. Not every provider receives every category of information.

5. Live Conversation and Voice Processing

When you use Live Conversation, SendLingo uses your device's microphone to process spoken conversation in real time so that speech can be recognised, translated and played back in another language.

Your microphone audio is transmitted securely through SendLingo and processed by third-party speech and language-processing service providers where necessary to provide the Live Conversation service.

In limited circumstances, where a translation is missing or appears incomplete or untranslated, the relevant text may also be processed by a third-party translation service to recover the translation. Microphone audio is not sent to that translation service as part of this recovery process.

SendLingo does not retain your Live Conversation microphone audio, live transcripts or captions, translated conversation text, or generated translated speech after the Live Conversation session has ended. This content is processed transiently to provide the feature.

We retain limited session and usage information, such as the languages used, session timestamps, duration and usage time. We use this information to manage service allowances, maintain reliability and security, prevent misuse and operate the service.

SendLingo does not use the content of your Live Conversation sessions to train AI models.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption, secure servers, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may delete your messages at any time. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

SendLingo is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of SendLingo after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
